LOCAL DESIGN PRESENTS LOCAL MILAN @ MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2016
What a week! 12 designers, 5000 bricks & probably 5000 Aperols. With the sound of Australian artist Thrupence and the scent of Aesop echoing and undulating through the ex church now theatre: Teatro Arsenale. 12 designers under the guidance of curators Emma Elizabeth & Tom Fereday transformed the space into a stong stylistic statement for Australian design as a whole.
5000 La Paloma black bricks provided by Brickworks Building Products acted as the scengraphic base to build, by hand, the display of products by designers: Shilo Engelbrecht, Frag Woodall, Kate Banazi, Tom Fereday, Emma Elizabeth, Alex Fitzpatrick, DAAST, Coco Reynolds, Toby Jones, Rachel Vosila, Andrew Simpson and Tom Skeehan.
