The Story

Toby Jones is a creative director with
a hands on approach and a varied skill set. Throughout his 15 year career he has worked across a wide range of disciplines for some of Australia’s most innovative and iconic exports. These brands exposed Toby to the world of fashion, music and lifestyle, subcultures that continue to influence the direction of his art.

Born on the north coast of NSW, Jones spent his childhood in a creative home. His mother, a textile artist and his father, a self taught woodworker and fine furniture maker, both inspiring his path. “Dad is a true craftsman, his workshop is next to our family home so i pretty much grew up in it.” A truly multidisciplinary artist, Jones has been a graphic designer and art director, owned and run his own jewellery label
– named Toby Jones, explored moving picture – winning an Aria award for best music video, produced major runway fashion shows and dabbled in various local and international art projects.

Fearless in his approach, Jones is not afraid to experiment and reinvent his aesthetic to create relevant ideas and products that engage contemporary audiences, ensuring that when the world as we know it is long forgotten, he leaves a legacy for the future to remember its past.
