MILAN DESIGN WEEK | Morten & Jonas | SATELLITE
Morten & Jonas showcased along side a series of their Norwegian colleagues, like Silje Nesdal from yesterdays post within Satellite on stand B29-31. The two boys having studied together for five years at Bergen Academy of art and design, where they finished their Masters in Design specializing in furniture and spacial design put together a collection with a soft and sophisticated Nordic tone. Their crafted product photography by Nina Ruud styled by Per Olav Sølvberg gave strength to their cause with it’s well thought through advertorial quality.
The collection shown at Satellite comprises of a series of products including:
( all products in first hero image above )
Up and down > Floor lamp which you can turn the shade up side down. To get an up light or a down light. Material: Steel base and vacuum molded plastic shade

A pendulum light consisting of two hand blown glasses, where the outer glass is smooth and clear, and the inside is a turned hand blown glass that makes you want to look twice. Material: hand blown glass and steel suspension
Hoff >>>>>>>> Which was the piece that gained most attention within the show, the Hoff being a playful, colourful and a modular sofa. With custom made textile collaboration between by Kioshi yamamoto and Morten Jonas. Mix and match different sizes and colors to get the look you desire. Material: steal wood base and textile.
Imono >>>>>>>>> Small tables made out Norwegian pine with elegant finish of the woodwork. Two sizes – two different table legs. The shape is inspired by the elegant forms in the Japanese kimono clothing. Materials: Pine and coated steel
We only had the chance to shoot and speak to Jonas as the duo were multi tasking and also exhibiting a new lamp for Northernlighting within Euro Luce at Stand E01 Hall 13. The shot of their Hoff modular sofa flooded social media over the week, so I am sure they will have some successful stories to tell in the weeks to come.
